History :
From the 11th century until about 1250 the village, built around the church, was known as Saint Quentin by Bléré.
Sites
Church of Saint Quentin des Près :
The apse and the three bays make this a magnificent example of Roman architecture from the 12th c.; the transept is surrounded by apsidal chapels and the octagonal bell tower has small roman openings. The church has a 15th c. piéta.
Chateau de la Herserie :
Built in the 19th century by the Noizay and Loiseau familes.
Chateau de la Gaillardière :
Built on the road to Dierre, this private 18th century residence has an ornamental façade.
